Ties abound in ladies golf association

By Eastword Staff
Linda Molina won the low putts competition in A flight of the Midwest City Municipal Ladies Golf Association at Hidden Creek Golf Course Sept. 28.

Stella Petty shared top honors in B flight with rival Idella Wright, and Debby Harbison and Ruth Rogers were deadlocked as well for first place in C flight. Wright chipped in on the fourth hole to garner the tie with Petty.

The Midwest City Municipal Ladies Golf Association played blind partners Oct. 5, and Ruthe Tate came out with a top-flight companion in Idella Wright. The pair topped the field at Hidden Creek Golf Course.

Betty Cluck and Carol Bryant grabbed a hold of second place, and Shirley McLain and Jean Yost finished third.

Evelyn Vaught chipped in twice during the round. She popped in the shots on holes 2 and 4.
