The City of Midwest City had 16 employees participate in the 2010 Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, held April 25. More than 22,000 runners ran through downtown Oklahoma City to honor those who died in the Murrah Building bombing in 1995. Employees ran the full marathon, the half-marathon, the marathon relay and the 5k event.
"We are proud of our employees and doing our part for the Memorial Museum while honoring those who lost their lives 15 years ago," City Manager J. Guy Henson said. "Being able to support this event that brings our community together, both locally and globally, is what this (is) all about."
