Conflict of interest issue raised in Ward 6 race

City council incumbent Turner Mann believes Jeff Moore - one of his three opponents in the Ward 6 race – would have a “conflict of interest” if he was elected.

Moore, 49, is a homebuilder and has worked extensively in the Midwest City area on various developments, which routinely are brought before the council for its approval.

Ward 6 candidate Jeff Moore acknowledged to the crowd of 40 people that he had been endorsed by the Midwest City firefighters union and the Mid-Del-Moore realtors association. Moore also admitted he had received contributions from both groups, but intended to return them. Read more

It will be incumbent on each man – Jay Dee Collins in Ward 2, Jim Ray in Ward 4 and Jeff Moore in Ward 6 – to be attentive, listen and take action that meets the needs and desires of their constituents. Having been elected, or re-elected in Ray’s case, the council must continue to move forward. Read more
